On June 4th, Turanganui headed to the Tairawhiti Museum and C Company to learn about Gisborne history, who came to Gisborne first and which waka they came on. In the C Company building we learnt more about the 28th Maori Battalion. I enjoyed learning about our ancestors and found the timeline and the maori challenging.
